So, the Height vinyl finally started shipping out last week. As most of you probably know things didn’t go very well with this release. I took a chance and put the vinyl out with someone who was just starting a record label and things didn’t work out. There were delays and complications all the way through the process and in the end the records were shipped with no cover artwork. I also had recorded an acoustic version of the album and there was supposed to be information included with the vinyl for people to get a download code for it. That information was not included and so I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to get those codes to everyone who should receive them. I’ve been having a hard time knowing how people can prove they actually bought the album though, and the best thing I can think is to have people e mail me at email@example.com with a brief description of the drawing that they received with their album. If anyone has any other creative ways to let me know they own the record I’m open to anything. Just e mail me and I’ll e mail you back with a download code. Thanks to everyone who ordered this record and I apologize again for the complications.
A couple of months ago we started taking pre orders for the vinyl release of my solo album Height. A lot of you have been asking me when you can expect them to be shipped. I’ve tried to keep everyone updated on the delays, but unfortunately there have been a number of them. The first delays were at the plant where the records were being pressed, then there were delays in the process of screen printing the covers. When the records were finally pressed and the covers were printed, I sent the package containing all of the signed tour memorabilia that was to be included with the first 100 orders. Wouldn’t you know it, that package got lost in the mail. I’ve been trying to track the package down, but it’s been awhile now and no luck. This was extremely disappointing since all of those items were unreplaceable.
I want to make sure everyone who placed the first 100 orders still gets something completely unique and personal, so I decided that every record will instead come with a page containing a few lines of hand written lyrics and a sketch. They’ll be signed, numbered and dated. I’m working on finishing these right now and if all goes well they’ll be shipped out with the records next week. I apologize for the delays, but I think that when your records arrive you’ll be extremely happy with what we’ve put together.
